Unusual.. unusual..
Brace yourselves.
Rules of the game: Each player of this game starts off with ten weird things or habits or little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged must write in a blog of their own ten weird things or habits or little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end, you must choose six people to be tagged and list their names. No tagbacks.
1) I grew up in a railway station (the one at Tg Pagar), my family lived in a hotel room there. Cos (I think) my grandfather owned a restaurant there, and it passed on to my dad, where he too lived and work. I stayed there from birth till i finished primary school.. so ya, my first 12 years on earth were spent there.
2) I used to wish I were a mermaid. I relished the fact that they could live in the sea, discover its mysteries and about float freely. I had a childhood friend, we would rush to the swimming pool every Saturday morning at 8am and swim till 2-3pm. We'd try to swim cross-legged (like fins!).
3) Link from the previous - for a long time I wanted to be a marine biologist. But to my great disappointment, my secondary school was one of the few in Singapore (i think) that did not offer Biology as a subject. I blame them for this broken dream till this day.
4) I was in love with Bon Jovi. Yes, what can I say... the wild, out-of-the-bed hair and sexy smile. Drove me crazy. And the music (much as I'm embarrassed to say now), yes I like rock ballads.. songs with a beat. What can be better than dancing around crazily to a good rock tune and de-stressing.
5) Yes, I dance around crazily & sing at the top of my voice with loud music blaring (when no one is home of course) when I'm super stressed up or very upset. It helps me de-stress & chase the blues away. (but now I go for christian music... modern christian music is loud enough)
6) I like animated shows/movies. Bugs Bunny was my fav.. I've seen almost all of Disney's blockbusters... Simpsons.. X-men.. Shrek.. I used to love "Daria" by MTV, didn't manage to watch many cos of its timing and they refuse to make DVDs.
7) I'm actually quite a loner/anti-social/private person, depending on how you want to look at it. I prefer going shopping alone when I have something to buy, I don't mind going to the movies alone, I actually crave time I can spend shut in my room with a good book. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy company of good friends, just that I realize, more than others, I need time away from people periodically.
8) I have never dyed my hair. Yep.. It's virgin hair. Think it's quite unusual in this day and age? No?
9) I was at another church for about a year before coming to COSB. It's "The People's Bible Church" in Hougang. I actually spent 4 hours on the bus every Sunday travelling to & from church. Bus 97, one end to the other. After a year I decided that it was too much and joined my parents at COSB, have not looked back ever since. But I must give credit to the lady who built my strong foundation with bible study - Allison. I thank God for such people He puts along the way to bring us to where we are today.
10) I shall end off with a really juicy, sandal-less one to reward those who've persevered and read till this point... I had my first boyfriend when I was.... in Pri 6. HaH!! Don't judge me.
