Preach the Gospel to yourself everyday

I was thinking about the cross today during service. Actually, 2 songs struck me. First was "Watch the Lamb" and the second was "Take me to Calvary". Both raised some important issues. "Watch the Lamb" was a more direct one, describing the Good Friday event from an ordinary person's point of view. "Take me to Calvary" raised the thing about "Lest I forget Gethsemane" and "Lest I forget thy agony", so take me to Calvary. It is quite true. We need to watch the Lamb. The Lamb is how God expressed His love for Man. It is well and good to see God and His Love in Nature, in things that happen etc. But this is how God displayed His Love for us.

Yet, I find that this image could be quite easily lost in evangelism sharing. There are the 4 Spiritual Laws etc, which present the Gospel. But we ourselves must remember not to disconnect what we say (Ie: Jesus died on the cross for our sins) with the imagery and Gethsemane and His Agony, and the jeering crowds... It can also be lost in church rituals... Forget, forget, forget....

Which is why things such as "Passion of Christ" (pity I didn't watch) and the Nail thingie we had during Masterlife is good. They help to remind us. I don't think this is so directly related to how we would behave and live... But it will affect our inner being. And that is the more important part.
